For any merchandise, the best time to buy is at the end of its season. For outdoor patio furniture, the best time is late summer. So, if you live north of the equator, this means August. For South America, Africa, and Australia, the best time is February.
Look for store discounts at these times as merchants are clearing out their current stock to make room for the next season items. I’m writing this post at the best time in August. Taking a quick scan around the web, I see that vendors are currently offering 50% to 75% discounts. Pier One, JC Penney, Pottery Barn, Wal-Mart, and Target have deals going on.
